I started writing when I was 11 and have never really stopped. I spent 35 years as a newspaper reporter, where I had just about every beat there is. That was a lot of writing about a lot of subjects, and exposure to all kinds of things I otherwise never would have seen, little less understood. Thoroughly enjoyed it. When the last paper I worked for died, I decided to use all that versatility to write fiction.
