It started with a question I've often heard asked. "How can there be a good god, or any god, with so much evil in the world? I've spent a lot of time over the years wrestling with that question and my novel is my take on how that universe, where religion and science coexist peacefully and where God is real and good despite the presence of evil. I like to think it's a universe not unlike our own.
