Beatrice I have always thought that there was no need to keep checking on students health because they've grown up and they fully know how they are expected to behave. When they still were in Hailsham, they had to be reprimanded for, let's say, smoking or doing dangerous activities, but during the Cottages staying they have already internalized the idea of what's ahead of them.
Also, Keffers do checks in them once a week, so he would know if any of them had broken safety rules smoking or injuring themselves.
