Bill Miller
Bill Miller asked:

Does Mr. Cornwell address the language differences between the Danes and the Anglo-Saxons? The film version of The Last Kingdom does not, which makes me wonder whether that's a significant weakness, since both populations seem able to communicate freely between each other. I don't think that was the case. I think the two language groups were similar but not the same.

Jax Different languages. Uhtred was English speaking by birth but later on raised by Danes and learned to speak Danish. He is used as an interpreter in the book for both sides
