I had thought that because this is my first Stephen King book and it ended with that date September 23, 2018 but then when I googled I found out that Stephen King just does that in all his books and it was the date the book was finished.

I don’t think he is necessarily a Precon but I think he is such a super genius that he can anticipate all of the possibilities of the future better than the average joe. Remember when he talked about playing chess and thinking about not only 3 moves ahead but also 3 alternatives to each of those 3.
