Jessica L. Degarmo
I draw inspiration from many different places, from talks with coworkers to a news item, to dreams, to a movie or a show on TV. When inspiration strikes, it usually does so hard and fast, and there will be a feverish session of jotting down handwritten notes or typing up a storm. Sometimes keeping inspiration is tough, but I get myself ready for it by rereading what I've already written and brainstorming new ideas. My books are really never far from my mind, and every so often, a plot idea or a solution to a problem will just pop into my head, at which point the feverish writing or typing will commence.
