Goodreads asked Joseph Racconti:

How do you get inspired to write?

Joseph Racconti I have always loved to write. I would write stories when I was very young just for the fun of it. While in grade school I entered a few writing competitions that I did rather well in, but didn't fully grasp the idea of competitively writing yet.
My most recent inspiration to write came after a decision that I was done watching television. At the very beginning of a nearly 10 year stretch with no t.v. I picked up, "The Judas Strain," but James Rollins.
Halfway through reading it I remembered what it was to read. The feeling I had was amazing. I thought to myself, "I want to be a part of this feel. I want to give this feeling to other people."
