Goodreads asked Beth Brown:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Beth Brown Writer's block is a tough thing to deal with. What I found to be helpful is to write. Yes, I know, that sounds like a contradiction. But when you feel that frustrating feeling of writer's block, the best way to get past it is to write. Write anything. Just start typing. Copy text from a book sitting near by. Type up everything you've done today. Just ramble. If you give in to writer's block it will control you. The best way to relax a writer's mind is to write. Just like a concert pianist who warms up by playing the scales, the same scales she or he has played a thousand times before, warming up for a writer means to write--write basic things to get the brain moving toward the creative.
