Goodreads asked Elaine W. Miller:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Elaine W. Miller I packed my husband's bags three times the first year of our marriage. Now, married 44 years, I realize the precious man I almost threw away. Almost a divorce statistic myself, I know too many marriages give up too soon for too little reason. Many years ago during an argument I thought, "I must have been an idiot to marry that idiot!" Then I laughed realizing that made me an idiot too. Later I learned the word "idiot" comes from the Greek meaning "common man." Aren't we all common man and common woman? So, I wrote "We All Married Idiots: Three Things You Will Never Change About Your Marriage and Ten Things You Can" to encourage couples to hold on in the tough times.
