No !! There are too many characters to get to know and the story arc is woven through all the books. You'd miss out on a lot !

I wouldn't really recommend it. There is a lot of references to previous events and even the two leads in this book meet in the previous book. Also Burn for Me (book 1) is really the introduction to this world.
