Goodreads asked Jenna Elizabeth Johnson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Jenna Elizabeth Johnson I don't really consider writer's block as something negative. I often tell people that when I'm stuck somewhere with a book or series, it is like a dam on a river: I have to wait for the ideas to build up, like the water behind the dam, and when the dam breaks I can start writing again. When this happens, I generally seek out books in my genre to read, or I'll work on some other creative activity or even another book series.
