Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Tony Bennett The idea came gradually. I knew I wanted the book to be set in the medieval period and I'd picked up a copy of Marc Morris' book on Edward 1 and started there. I read around the subject and found the story of Simon de Montfort to be fascinating and it all came together over a period of five long years.
