Morgane asked Warren Ellis:

What comic has been a major influence for you?

Warren Ellis I couldn't name you a single comic. I could name a hundred. Shall I throw some of them out there? Off the top of my head: Eddie Campbell's ALEC, Bryan Talbot's LUTHER ARKWRIGHT, for some reason tonight I'm thinking about the short comics story "Black Crow" by Lee Marrs & Mike Vosburg, LA NUIT by Philippe Druillet, CORTO MALTESE of course, Krystine Kryttre's early comics work, Glenn Dakin's CAPTAIN OBLIVION... and I've just gone down a memory k-hole, sitting here thinking about John Miller's comics of the 1980s, and Carol Swain's stuff....

That was no help at all, was it?
