I didn't think the beginning was slow at all.

In my opinion, it was pretty slow in the beginning. I was thinking, "What's the point? What's going on?" and I didn't like the main character, but things start picking up by the middle for me and I end up loving the main character.

No, Before I Fall is actually really good. You should really keep on reading Delirium. It's an amazing trilogy, one of my favorites.
