I feel as though he was a prisoner in his own home. Never going downstairs, never getting dressed and going anywhere. I feel sorry for him. He was imprisoned and depressed, and dependent on pills. I also wish I would have never read the book. Elvis was CRAZY! The way he would explode and he "hit" her. I have a feeling she left a lot out.

I agree. I can't believe he spent so much time in his room in pj's, watching TV and his interest in reading "unusual" type books.
