Goodreads asked T.W. Embry:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

T.W. Embry First write because you love it, not to become rich and famous overnight because that is a dream every writer starts out with and the bubble is soon burst. It may be burst with a struggle for a good ending or even a beginning. Then comes the first rejection letter either from an agent or a publisher for rare is the one who will take on a diamond in the rough. Me I got lucky I only got rejected by 13 agents before I found someone willing to take a chance on what I now know to be a rough manuscript. Second if you love it don't give up keep submitting don't take no for an answer
