Jaime Reese:
Hi Jaime. I read a better man. I really just want to know if I can read the novels in any order or if I must read them in sequence? Just by the way. I loved the book and am excited about reading more. I don't have all of them and hence my question!

Hi Garth,
Thanks so much for giving the series a chance!
Each book in The Men of Halfway House series features a different couple and the stories are a mix of contemporary and romantic suspense. If you want/need to skip one, that's totally fine. There's enough recap included in the current story if there's something relevant from a prior one.
But if you plan on reading the entire series, it's probably best to read them in order since several characters reappear in other books - so you'll have a richer reader experience and get to meet some of the characters before their story. (I do have character pages on my website. It's an easy way to see if a character appears in a prior story.)
Out of all of them, I would say books 2, 3, and 4 are the most tightly connected in the series because of Aidan and Jessie's first appearance in #2 and their additional appearance in #3 before their actual story in #4. So I would definitely stress those be read in order. A side note, #4 is a tough read and contains potential triggers.
Sorry for the long reply, but I hope this helps. Thanks again for giving my guys a chance!
Happy reading!
