Goodreads asked A.C. Warneke:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

A.C. Warneke It depends on when writer's block hits. If I am in the middle of a story and i get stuck, it usually means something in the story needs to be changed and I am just resistant to the idea. The bigger the change needed, the more resistant I am, until I finally give in and make the necessary changes. If it is before I start a story, I jot down any notes I might have and then I put it aside and work on different projects, giving the creative muses a break and hoping they'll talk to me before too much time has passed.
