I've found that writer's block is caused by insecurities. "I'm not good enough to tell this story." "Nobody wants to read my writing." "I'm not going to do these characters justice." To get past these, I put on some headphones and turn some music up really loud. I drown out all the doubt and insecurities that hold me back. Once I can no longer here those thoughts, I dance around my apartment like a complete moron. When you give up your insecurities in one way, it's easy to forget them when you write.
