This sounds like a great book. We now know enough about the scientific reasons for such things as volcanic eruptions, so there's no need of a god of volcanoes. There's no need of any god period, but that is another book. Do you still believe?

Bill Lauritzen Sorry for the late reply. In the book I discuss geological phenomena in general and its influence on religion. Astronomical phenomena have been discussed in many other books so I did not go into them here. In the second have to book, I discussed how the spirit or soul was invented which came out of line research of geological phenomena.
