This is exceptional reading - no man walks alone, and this is great learning for this truth...only 1/4 in but really enjoying. Anyone else read this?

Hilary Shearing Am now halfway through. What a read! Saw the film 'Lincoln'. Then bought the DVD with others in a sale. Amongst the 'extras' was a fascinating piece about 'the making of...' which is when I really became conscious of the book. So glad to have got a copy. Doris Kearns
Goodwin, like all the best historians, combines command of her subject with masterful storytelling. The result is an unforgettable read, and the realisation that Abraham Lincon was even more of an extraordinary human being, than I already thought him to be.
Judy Am reading it right now and honestly can't put it down! I've read a lot about Lincoln but this is another whole take on the endlessly fascinating subject.
Gina I just started the audio version of this book. I would love to be able to listen non-stop.I saw the movie "Lincoln" and have been patiently waiting for my library to have an available copy. I feel Doris Kearns Goodwin's writing style with Richard Thomas's narration make a great combination.
Christopher Balchin Yes, I love it. Respect for Abraham Lincoln already sky high and going higher!
Terry Yes, and it became the thing I turned to, especially during these chaotic political times, when I needed reminding of the goodness that can exist in people. Thanks to Doris Goodwin for writing a remarkable book about a truly remarkable human being, Abe Lincoln.
