What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Gina Marinello-Sweeney I love having an idea so persistent that I have to write it down, even if it's 2 a.m. I love that moment in which you keep writing and writing because you're on a roll and somehow the words just come (even if you have to edit some of them out later). I love getting to know my characters so well that I can't bear to say goodbye to them and, thus, determine to turn one book into a series. I love expressing myself through the written word . . . because it really is the way my heart and mind are translated. I love telling a story, both to myself and a small circle of family and friends . . . and, now, the world. Sorry for not answering your question; I can't pick just one!
