Goodreads asked Marsh Myers:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Marsh Myers Write as much as you can, but on different topics and in different ways. Modern authors tend to be very pigeonholed when it comes to what they write, but I think a good writer will try to expand their repertoire as much as possible. This means trying new genres, switching up your character types, trying your hand at some short stories or even poetry. If you write fiction, have you tried writing a non-fiction piece? Push yourself.
