James Cardona
James Cardona asked Marc Secchia:

When and where do you write? Can you write anywhere or does the location have to be quiet and alone? Do you have any rituals that you do when you write?

Marc Secchia Thanks for the question, James! I often write early in the morning, from 4 or 5am, which is my best time and also the quietest time in our house. I almost always make a mug of strong Ethiopian coffee. I will go back and re-read or edit a chapter or two of what I've written recently, or my plot notes and mindmaps, and then proceed.

If I'm really burning to get a story down on paper, I might write right through the night. The last couple of times I've done that, I have been able to put together 25,000 words or more in one sitting.
