Goodreads asked Lauren M. Fisher:

How do you get inspired to write?

Lauren M. Fisher Most of my ideas come from my vivid dreams. At least half of them started as dreams, and I wrote down the ideas and embellished a bit. One of my excerpts on Inkitt.com called Dark Angel, started out as a dream. The first seven chapters of that book was the dream, and the rest I had written in over two weeks. That was at least 90k words! It's now over 100k. But not all of them come from dreams. Most come from ideas that I think about for a long period of time before deciding I can create a story out of it. My first self published book, The Ancient Chronicles, is an example of that. Of course trying to finish the story takes a lot of time, because I don't exactly know how the ending will come about, only that it will.
