Goodreads asked Gary H. Collins:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Gary H. Collins I like this question because I'm interested in helping more voices tell stories that matter and this is probably everyone's biggest obstacle to finishing their first project. Unfortunately, there's no magic here. You simply have to stay disciplined and fight through the days when its hard to come up with the words. I find that when I'm really stuck, moving on to a different chapter or scene that I've already mapped out in my head generally works. Sometimes I'll go to a scene that I like and try to make it better. The best prescription is probably to just get a good night's sleep. You'll be amazed at how your mind will tend to work things out while you're resting!
