How do you get inspired to write?

Margaret M. Ford I am an avid reader and, as any honest writer would admit, it's impossible not to be inspired by the stories of other writers. But, I can only achieve satisfaction by creating something original and marketable. While trying to attract readers of popular fiction, one has to be careful not to duplicate the current popular best seller. Remember The DaVinci Code? Who can forget it? It inspired dozens of writers to produce novels that followed the same theme and then flooded the market following its success. I am inspired by my own imagination.
