I know this is a follow up to a book one, but is it really necessary to read book one to understand and enjoy book two?

Eric Johnston Hi Tara,

I don't think it is necessary to read book one before reading book two, as I try to provide enough background and context in the second book to stand alone. With that said, I do think a reader will find book two has a deeper meaning if book one is read and book one also introduces the reader to the way the series handles time, which is non-linear. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. -Eric
