Jennifer Carlin Dawgert I don't think it was a bond. I think he desperately needed his father's approval. He never got it. So he drove himself
Linda K Baker It effected everything he did in life...(I have read other books on TR). The funny thing is that he did so much w/regard to his father's influence but it not only trickled down to his own family but highly influenced our 2d Roosevelt President and his wife Eleanor.
