The second Volume of "Welcome to India". It is also based on journals I kept contemporaneously during my first trip to India in 2012...the second half of the journey through North India.
It's candid, honest, and forthright...sometimes funny, often moving (I hope), and hopefully inspiring.
Although both books offer a good first-time view of India from an open-mined, adventurous traveler, I hope that they also inspire people who might have fears...whether about traveling to some foreign or exotic place or attempting something else in their lives, perhaps making a major change.
One REALLY can accomplish whatever he or she chooses to do. . deciding that it will be alright. Concluding that there are no mistakes or accidents in life and that all of our experiences teach us beautiful lessons.
India was a transformative trip for me, and I feel most fortunate to have both traveled, and lived there!
