I had a publisher, but I got dropped. It was a devastating blow. I had a dream of a big publisher, Oprah's Book Club, the whole nine yards, but when it didn't work out, I was determined not to let it deter from my goals. So I chose the self publishing route. I made the investment to make sure that my book was professional, and on the same level as a traditionally published book. Someday I will get picked up by a traditional, I am fairly confident. I went the independent route to get one step closer to make goals!
