Goodreads asked Mark Feldstein:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mark Feldstein I visited my dad's ranch in Montana. He had told me that he began rescuing animals. I was imaging a few dogs, a cat here and there and maybe a bird or two. I had no idea. They have saved 100's of animals, including dogs, cats, llamas, horses, donkeys, mules, horses, chickens, ducks a moose and a bird or 2. When I came home, I began to look into the world of rescue and discovered a dedicated and passionate group of special people who have dedicated their lives to helping animals. I knew I had to help, but wanted to in a bigger way than only volunteering at a rescue. So, I wrote my book so I can raise funds to help the rescues.
