Why does goodreads still have a fiction book posted in the non-fiction section? Somaly Mam has been forced to resign because of her lies and people still buy her book and believe the lies because they refuse to accept the truth. Why doesn't Goodreads pull this book off it's website? It is pure fiction and untrue - but is put in the non-fiction section? Somaly Mam is a Fraud!

Cavak It may be lies about her own life and possibly a weird misunderstanding about her daughter's disappearance. I don't think it's pure fiction or untrue because of what she ultimately brings awareness to.

Which is the disturbing amount of illegal sexual abuse, human trafficking, underage prostitution, and political tensions regarding these issues throughout Southeast Asia. Left in the wake of Khmer Rogue, the Vietnam takeover, and growing Chinese influences.

And Somaly Mam is not a complete fraud when she continues to contribute her time to humanitarian causes. She hasn't just up and left with everyone's money for herself. She is helping little girls find a new meaning in life.

That's why I think it would not be okay to completely write off everything as pure fiction.
