What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

James Leck My advice would be to write. Write every day, write as much as you can (try for 1 hour to start), and finish everything that you start. That last one is important because I think it's the only way you can learn what's going right and what's going wrong. It's easy to start a story, but a lot of the time the wheels will fall off half way through the tale. If you force yourself to finish, you'll discover why the wheels fell off. Was it the plot? The characters? The conflict?
