This book is one of those classics that will be treasured forever by any reader of any age. It doesn't matter how old (or young) you are, this book was written for everyone.

It has an ageless quality about it. I read it when I was younger and loved it and just re-read it this year and loved it just as much, if not more. So I'd say if the premise intrigues someone their age wont make a difference.
