When I actually began to write, it was easy enough because I needed to get my past out of my head and onto paper. I wasn't sure if it was going to actually turn into a published memoir. As I continued to write, however, it became more difficult. Friends and family played a big role in keeping me motivated.
As for inspiration, knowing how misunderstood trauma spectrum behaviors are, I was determined to share hope for people struggling with symptoms, family members with a loved one struggling and professional who treat people with early childhood trauma.
