"The Rocheville Devil" was probably inspired by a writing exercise in which I interviewed myself about my experiences in grade school. That led me to wonder "What if someone had an unhealthy obsession with his childhood memories? What if someone decided to escape from real life and into those memories?" The result is a psychological drama that I think readers will enjoy.
