Can I ask why, in your 'Tolkien's Triumph', you included a copyright page? This is not meant as a criticism, I just wondered why you thought it necessary/a good idea. Thanks.

Why wouldn't I include a copyright notice, Simon? The work is original, I am as author entitled to the copyright, and I therefore asserted it in the manner prescribed by the relevant 1988 UK act.
My fanfic I cannot properly copyright, and blog posts and the like are de facto in the public domain, but where work I can properly copyright is concerned, I do ; not least because, being without a salary, I need to protect what income I do have. A copyright page is not of course in itself a protection against piracy, but it does at least create a legal basis for objecting to it, should it happen.
If there's something I'm missing about your question, do please expand on it.
