How do you deal with writer’s block?

P.J. Berman I don't always write scenes in the order that they appear in the book, and I usually have more than one project on the go at the same time. So for me, if I have a scene where I just can't find the right words to make it work, I make some detailed notes about what is going to happen in that section, and then I switch my attention to working on a different piece of writing until such time as I feel I can come back to the scene and create it in a way that I am satisfied with.
