Goodreads asked J. Alexander Greenwood:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

J. Alexander Greenwood It's an homage to the work of my late Grandfather, Robert E. Trevathan. He wrote some incredibly good, entertaining and historically accurate westerns. For "Pilate's Blood" (publishing in October), I incorporated some of that aesthetic. I also pay homage to one of my all-time favorite films, "Rio Bravo."
