Jane V. Blanchard
Prior to writing my first book, I thought the best thing about being a author was the independence to work from anywhere and at a time of my choosing.
After publication, I realized the best part of being a writer is reader interaction—I love to hear how my work has affected the reader. I love the one-on-one conversations at book signings and presentations. Crazy, but I even like negative comments. Good or bad, I can't think of anything better than when someone takes the time to tell me how they felt about what I wrote.
