Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Dennis R. Blanchard
Writing non-fiction makes things easier. Usually I go off on some adventure, or have some experience that I just know other people will enjoy, or at least, want to know more about. I'm currently working on two books, on about walking the Camino de Santiago, Spain and another about my father and his experiences in WW II.
The Camino book makes a great follow-on to my very successful book about the Appalachian Trail. For me, that was a no-brainer.
In the case of my father's book, Where Dad Dropped In, I started researching his story and realized I was uncovering information and stories that have never before been told, or published. I think I owe it to him and the men he fought with to tell that story.
