I think we can all *try*, and, as social animals, we want to fit in, but anyone with any awareness of neuroscience and psychology knows that there are very REAL limits to what people can be trained to do. What if Claire had depression? Bipolar disorder? Autism spectrum? Fragile bones? Hemophilia? Progressive MS? Lupus? What if she was already *broken* before Tony got to her? What would he have done then?

i do...if we observe from the beginning of our lives, we are in a way trained to live in a certain way among other trained people to prevent chaos.
