After reading the reviews on this book about not taking sides and starting it, I'm looking for other balanced non-fiction books on what happened in Sri Lanka besides 'secret war of 2009'. I don't know about books, but I watched a very powerful documentary called "No Fire Zone." A few days ago. This uses recovered footage to show that the Sri Lankan army basically committed war crimes against Tamil citizens. Very moving.

@Anna Cain Thanks for the response. Yes, I watched the NoFireZone, (www.nofirezone.org) which apparently got selected in film festivals.
Not sure if you saw this report from No Fire Zone? -- clearly holds ALL parties responsible but Govt. of Sri Lanka protested.
