Unfortunately I will forever be turned off to this author. Book #2 also took a extraordinarily long time to debut and then was like 6 times the price as the first book. For those of us who had waited on bated breath for years I felt her price was more suited for an author who is pushing out amazing novels at a decent speed.
I loved the first book, was too irritated about the price to pick up the second book and now seeing that again the third book is still on hold, this author will be firmly placed on my "don't bother" list. There are way too many authors out there with just as great of novels who are at least keeping communication with their readers. I understand life happens but a response of some kind is not asking too much. Such a shame too because her first book really was good.

Hi everyone, quick update on book 3. Thank you for all your messages! I read all of them!
I’m still up before the sun every day, still bribing the kids to stay in bed a tiny bit longer. Still writing! I’m mostly staying off social media because you know my motto: if I have time to fb I have time to write! (Also fb scares me.) Book 3 is going really well. I’ve noticed something lately: I’m talking about the end, about what I’m going to do when the book is done. There is a light at the end of the tunnel people! So you ask me when...at this point, not this year but next year is a very real possibility as long as the book doesn’t get murdered during editing. Keep writing, to me or otherwise! I love reading your stuff (which is partly the reason it takes me so long to write).
