would you guys recomend this book for young kids?

Kerrie No. I agree with Christine, older teens may like it but it would be too slow for younger kids. Also, the main character is a thief and the book details how he is successful at it. Not something kids should emulate.
Matthew Taylor The book has almost nothing a young reader (under the age of 16) could readily relate to. It does have instances completely inappropriate for an adolescent. The frequency where inuendo and implied meaning factors into the character's thought process (OCD, relationship with parents, interpersonal adult relationships) require a reader with certain life experiences a preteen or young teen would not yet have.
Stacey Definitely not --
spoiler alert --
there is an almost-rape at the end, so not suitable for children or anyone sensitive to sexual violence.
Christine Not very young, no. I'd say YA (older teens) and up. It's been too long for me to remember the details, but I think there are a few parts that delve into adult territory.
