Mercedes asked Donna Russo Morin:

Love the descriptive details of your books. Do you travel to all the locations? They seem so real in your stories.

Donna Russo Morin Thank you, Mercedes. I actually get asked this quite often. I did travel to France and spent a full day at the Chateau Versailles, where the entirety of my first novel, The Courtier's Secret, is set. It really changed the depth and scope of my description of the palace, the 'feel' of it. Unfortunately, that's the extent of my travel...so far. I do, however, read at least five or so books--of all kinds--just on the setting of my stories. Add to that the wonderful experience of virtual tours, and I am able to really absorb the essence of a place as well as its architectural details. I'm pleased that you've found my interpretations entertaining as well as informative. Thanks again! Happy reading!
