Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
I work at Moody Bible Institute - and I had always heard that Emma Dryer was partially responsible for the founding of the school. She was the woman behind the institution. I had also read Sin in the Second City and Devil in the White City - both made me intrigued by turn-of-the-century urban America. I wanted to know what Christian women did in that era to make a difference.
