Quick and meaty... easy to get through and much to ponder. Good books to read as companions would include The Lucifer Effect, My Bondage, My Freedom Fredrick Douglass, Flow, Mere Christianity... Watts puts words to ideas that were mere swirls in my own mind.

Occasionally, I come across a 'milestone' book, which resets my take on life. This is one of them. Intelligent, witty and readable.

Not entirely original in its thinkings... but it is very well written and full of amazingly simple analogies. This book is pushing philosophy forward, and as a reader, it has pushed me into a new perspective. Really glad I read it.

Caution: You are truly about to enter the "no spin" zone: Alan Watts it flat out with no BS, who you TRULY are and aren't. This is no book for middle managers with greased, spiked hair, and cheap ties to wave around in the air when they are leaning on prospective multi-level marketers.
This book is the truth. Plain. Unadulterated. Life-changing.

Lofty information, concisely presented. Can change a person's complete view on the mechanism of life. Really grateful that I was able to understand the knowledge written in this book.

Fabulous book, enjoyable read, lots of food for thought. Written in 1966, and of that time in many ways, but timeless wisdom in other ways. Really glad I read it!
