How do you get inspired to write?

Brittany T I usually get inspired at the most mundane of moments. I could be driving or taking a walk and an idea will fall into my head. Usually it starts as a scene or an idea. Then I spend a long time molding that idea into something workable. Sometimes, that idea can become a novel and sometimes it lays abandoned in the bottom drawer of your desk as an unfinished draft. I have numerous notebooks with ideas I haven't actually written yet. Reading also helps me get inspired because I start thinking about how I would do things if I wrote the story.
